SuperyachtDesign Q7 has arrived and focuses on the lounge area and the world of fabrics. Here we take a peek behind the curtain of what's inside this latest issue.
In our extensive feature, Lounging Around, Mark Tucker of Design Unlimited presents solutions to flexible lounge space. Cinema, cocktail bar, family room and chill out zone – the lounge has to adapt to all of these criteria and Tucker illustrates how this could be done with different design solutions.
Tackling textiles, we have design consultant Georgina Cox, who walks us through the finer points of fabric selection in our Materialist.
Interviews with top designers include Andrew Winch, who tells us what inspired him to be a yacht designer, as he celebrates 25 years in the business. SuperyachtDesign also speaks to Bill Tripp of Tripp Design, to discover Tripp's avant-garde views on design, technology and performance that the studio's ongoing collaboration with leading builders, interior designers, mast makers and hydrodynamicists has fostered.
Nespresso and Wally joined forces for the second time this year to host the Nespresso cup. The event won the attention of three illustrious designers - Konstantin Grcic, Olivia Putman and Christian Ghion, who give us their views on the day and the industry.
Celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, Salone del Mobile is the most prestigious furniture fair in the world. SuperyachtDesign presents its Six of the Best from the fair that began life as the brainchild of a small group of furniture makers to promote exports of Italian furniture and accessories.

The 6th SuperyachtDesign Summit tackled the topic of evolving regulation. In our retrospective, event speakers present the issues discussed such as the Maritime Labour Convention (MLC) and its impact on yacht design and safety at sea.
Design Debate is on ‘Minimalism’, a term often bandied about in the design world, but what does it mean? Is it just a convenient label? What does it involve for yacht designers, builders and outfitters? SuperyachtDesign invited key industry representatives to present their opinions. Guest commentators Ian Hornsby, Gary Grant, Peter Symonds and Adam Lay, all present frank yet considered opinions on design-related topics of their choice in Guest Suite.

Perspectives covers Lift technology with guest contributors, Emile van der Starre and Mike Brandt.  Elevators are almost de rigeur on superyachts and are now appearing on vessels of 40-metres or less. Two leading designers and manufacturers of elevators—both of them Dutch companies—offer their observations on integrating lift systems into large yachts.

Included in the issue are concepts from Ken Freivokh Design, Hydro Tec, Christopher Seymour Design and Arman Marine.
