Following her launch earlier this year, Sanlorenzo will be displaying their 44-metre superyacht, Lammouche, at the Monaco Yacht Show this September. She is the first yacht constructed out of steel by Sanlorenzo and is also the first superyacht of her size to incorporate an ‘under lower deck’ – a deck situated below the lower deck. The yard will also take Lammouche to the subsequent Salone Nautico Internazionale di Genova in October.

Well worth a look if you have a chance, Lammouche has a contemporary interior style, designed by Francesco Paszkowski Design, with warm woods, suede and leather and parquet flooring. Her exterior lines have been designed to allow maximum light into the interior and she features vast glazed surfaces running along the side walls of the main deck, which continue over the upper deck and end in the distinctive ‘whisker’ at the aft section.

The ‘under lower deck’ is the most unique design feature of Lammouche. This additional deck, never before incorporated in a yacht of this size, consists of a central tunnel running all the way from stern to bow, housing the technical areas and the service areas. Typically, the tunnel is tight and narrow, even in larger yachts. However, on Lammouche it is high enough to walk through, making system checking and maintenance much simpler. This deck has an additional access to the engine room, allowing the Chief Engineer access to the room without raising to the upper deck where the guest rooms are located.

Sanlorenzo will also be exhibiting their new 31-metre superyacht Mentxu at the Festival de la Plaisance in Cannes just prior to the Monaco Yacht Show.
