Mourjan Marinas IGY appoints new head of sales and marketing at Port Tarraco

Mourjan Marinas IGY has appointed Margarete Kalinowski as head of sales and marketing at Port Tarraco, Spain.

Over the past year, Port Tarraco has benefited from a fresh injection of luxury marina management, from the combined efforts of Marina Barcelona 92 (MB’92), who manage the marina and has a five percent ownership stake, and Mourjan Marinas IGY, who has been commissioned to manage the sales and marketing of the marina internationally.

Kalinowski joins Mourjan Marinas IGY bringing with her a wealth of relevant experience including 13 years in international business and strategy, sales and marketing, as well as professional qualifications including three Masters degrees from international business schools.

In addition, she is about to complete her PhD in International Business and Strategy at the ESADE Business School in Barcelona. Kalinowski has excellent knowledge and understanding of the superyacht market. She is passionate about sailing, and has her YachtMaster qualifications. With experience gained working in Europe, China, Middle East and India, Kalinowski is fluent in six languages.



Kalinowski’s role at Port Tarraco encompasses all aspects of international sales and marketing. She will be responsible for developing the strategies for marina berth sales and the marina’s related property, maximising the marina’s growth and development, and maintaining and building Port Tarraco’s position as a world-leading destination and superyacht marina. 

Kalinowski will also oversee all internal and external communications, develop and manage promotional campaigns, and create and manage all marketing materials to establish and build a clear, consistent and identifiable image for this growing and popular destination. 

Now resident in Spain, Kalinowski's previous experience includes working for RMZ Corp, one of India’s largest real estate developers as a General Manager in Investments and Alliances. In this role she was responsible for the development and management of an international portfolio of five star and luxury boutique hotels, high-end retail malls and commercial spaces, as well as luxury residential development projects.

Port Tarraco provides a total of 64 berths for yachts ranging in length from 30 to 160 metres. The marina is a hidden gem in the Mediterranean, located on the doorstep of the beautiful and historic city of Tarragona, on Spain’s ‘Golden Coast’. From a chance to explore the rich local Catalonian culture, to the area’s many beaches, mountains for hiking or skiing, and the nearby cities of Barcelona and Madrid, the area is an attractive year-round destination for superyacht owners, captains and crew.
