Hodgdon Shipbuilding appoints new head of design and engineering
By William Mathieson
Comments
Hodgdon Shipbuilding has announced the appointment of James Anderson as its head of design and engineering. Anderson joins Hodgdon from his position of engineering manager of SP-High Modulus' US division.
After several years of successful collaboration between Hodgdon and SP-High Modulus, Anderson will be leaving the engineering firm to head Hodgdon's existing yacht building design and engineering team of 11 on January 1, 2013.
Anderson holds a MEng in aeronautical engineering from Bristol University and has served in a variety of consulting and management roles in a structural engineering capacity.
The strong bond between SP-High Modulus and Hodgdon is likely to continue as the demand for both supplemental structural engineering and Gurit's SmartPac kits continues.
