Halyard appoints new sales director

Halyard, the company that designs and manufactures specialist marine exhaust systems for superyachts, has appointed Andrew Davies as sales director to manage its UK and international sales.
 
Davies joins Halyard with a background in marine sales, having previously worked for six years at Raymarine UK Limited as UK and Ireland Sales Manager.  Prior to joining Raymarine, he was sales manager, before becoming a divisional general manager at Phoenix Mecano Ltd, a global manufacturer of industrial components.
 
In his role at Halyard, Davies will be responsible for leading Halyard’s sales team, working directly with individual designers and managers of custom built superyachts. He will also work with Halyard’s team of international distributors supporting sales to these diverse markets.
 
Richard Summers, Managing Director of Halyard said Davies’ skills combined the specialist and technical knowledge required by the marine market, with an understanding and experience of Halyard’s key customers:  “We are delighted that Andrew has joined Halyard.  His skills will help develop new  markets for Halyard, and with his technical expertise and background he will help fulfill the complex role between sales, design and engineering. Andrew will also be pivotal in developing and growing our internationally-based distributors, supporting them in their home markets."


Based at Halyard’s head office in Salisbury, Davies' role will include extensive travel worldwide to visit customers, boat yards and key marine industry events, and he will be be representing the company at key boat shows including PSP Southampton Boat Show, Monaco Yacht Show, Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show and SMM in Hamburg.
