Gordon French joints McMaster Yachts as Technical Manager

Management, charter and brokerage company McMaster Yachts has appointed Gordon French as its new Technical Manager. French previously worked for Alloy Yachts as the shipyard’s engineering supervisor, following which he joined Fitzroy Yachts where after some time he became the company’s general manager. After French’s time at Fitzroy Yachts he then went to Croatia with Arista Marine, where he worked until his most recent appointment at McMaster Yachts.French’s new role as Technical Manager of McMaster Yachts will see him involved in the day-to-day management for a number of yachts in the McMaster fleet, and will be the point of contact for the answers to any technical-specific questions from owners, captains and engineers.
French spoke exclusively to SuperyachtNews.com about his new appointment: “I have known and respected [McMaster Yachts Managing Director] James for many years, and I’ve been aware of his progress in the management sector of the superyacht industry. I have been thinking for some time that my skills would be a good fit with James’ and I’m sure that time will bear that out.”
“I believe McMaster Yachts has a well defined market share, based on delivering a level of service to yacht owners which is totally transparent,” said French. “I am very excited to be joining the team and believe we offer a unique level of informed support for sailing owners in the areas of build, operation, charter, management, refit and brokerage.”
