Imtech Marine appoints new managing director

Imtech Marine, the marine division of technical service provider Imtech, has appointed
Gennaro Pipoli Managing Director of Imtech Marine’s Singapore branch.
Prior to the appointment, Pipoli has held several other senior management roles with General Electric (GE) in locations such as Italy, Russia and Singapore. Pipoli’s two most recent positions with GE were both in the Oil and Gas division, first as Growth and Strategy Leader and then as Commercial Operation Director for the Asia Pacific and Middle East region.
In 2010 Imtech Marine made public its plans for the strategic growth of the company, the priorities of which are maintaining lifecycle partnerships with its customers worldwide, strengthening the global organization and service network, and further incorporation of green technology and integrated ship automation. Major steps towards the fulfillment of Imtech Marine’s strategy for expansion thus far include the opening of offices in China, Spain, France and Morocco, the conclusion of the acquisition of the Canadian company Techsol, and supplying several projects with green ship and automation solutions.
Pipoli’s appointment is an important step towards realising the global ambitions of Imtech Marine, more specifically towards expanding its presence in the Asia region. The Imtech Marine office in Singapore (formerly Radio Holland) has grown to be one of the strategic multi-service and outfitting centres of the Imtech Marine network.
