Imtech Marine opens Aberdeen office

Rotterdam-based Imtech Marine, a full-service provider and system integrator of technology solutions for superyachts, has recently expanded its UK presence with the opening of a new office in Aberdeen, which will operate in conjunction with its existing Newcastle and Glasgow offices. The opening of the new office brings Imtech Marine’s total number of service and outfitting centres to 89 worldwide. The Aberdeen office, which officially opened on 25 April, will provide services to international and locally based vessels and platform operators, such as electrical engineering support and emergency call out services.
 
“By launching a new Aberdeen office, Imtech Marine is expanding its involvement in the offshore industry, providing vessel and platform operators with a wider choice of services both in port as well as on the spot”, said Tom Simpson, managing director of Imtech Marine UK Ltd.
 
The newly opened office will be a base for a team of engineers offering in-house and on-site engineering support for dry docking, new builds and conversions. In addition to the provision of services on a project only basis, Imtech Marine, in keeping with its life cycle management partnership strategy, offers Managed Service Agreements covering both preventive and breakdown maintenance.
