Lewmar appoints new head of design

Lewmar, designer and manufacturer of marine equipment, has reinforced its design team with the addition of Nigel Smith.
Nigel Smith holds the position of head of design at Lewmar, and his principle task will be to push the product range to a new level, using well designed and innovative solutions.
Smith has a Masters in Industrial Design Engineering at the central School of Art and Design, London, and has much experience within the leisure marine industry, as well as experience in senior design roles at leading design consultancies.
“We are delighted to have Nigel joining the Lewmar team as head of design,” said Peter Tierney, chief executive officer and chairman of Lewmar. “He comes with great experience as design manager from a very well respected and successful company within our sector. I am confident he will add greatly to the development of the business in his new role heading up our design group.”
