In November, Webasto, the worldwide specialist for climate management at sea, together with Indel Webasto Marine, exhibited its heating, air-conditioning, refrigeration and roof systems at METS, the world’s biggest trade show for marine equipment, materials and systems. In addition to its proven shading solutions and heating products for boats and ships of various sizes, Webasto also presented its new Ultimate Cabin Control unit. This suppresses the humming noise emissions from the air handlers used in air-conditioning systems while simultaneously allowing multiple air handlers to be connected and controlled together. Also on display for the first time was the exclusive Divino The One wine cooler which, thanks to its cold air jacket, avoids wet bottles and water stains.

New control unit optimizes air-conditioning control

The Ultimate Cabin Control from Webasto provides two functions at the same time by silencing and networking the air handlers of the BlueCool A-Series air-conditioners. Its electronic controller has been optimized such that noise is no longer perceptible in the interior of the boat at all, when it is operating at its lowest speed setting. This has the effect of making AC fans as quiet as DC fans. The Ultimate Cabin Control is capable of controlling all of the available BlueCool A-Series air handlers, either individually or several units simultaneously. For larger salons it is possible to connect multiple control units in series and operate all installed air handlers via a single MyTouch display. Furthermore, the Ultimate Cabin Control meets the highest electromagnetic compatibility requirements pursuant to EN/ISO 60945 and can therefore even be installed in the vicinity of the most sensitive equipment such as radars etc. Webasto manufactures a wide range of chiller units of various sizes and several of these were exhibited at METS 2018.

New wine cooler ensures ideal serving temperature for wine or champagne

Fully new to the Indel Webasto Marine range of refrigerators and freezers for marine applications is the exclusive Divino The One wine cooler which can maintain a bottle of wine or champagne at the perfect serving temperature. It is based on a powerful thermoelectric core unit that creates an instant cold air jacket around the bottle, avoiding wet bottles and water stains. Divino The One can be integrated into the table such that it is practically invisible. LED lighting in 27 optional colors rounds off this elegant wine cooler. At the Webasto booth various wine cellars, refrigerators, freezers and ice makers were also on display.
