Port Denia have officially opened a €1 million (€990,000 to be exact) redevelopment of the 410 metre long Denia waterfront promenade (13,000 square metres) that surrounds the prestigious superyacht marina. Local and regional government dignitaries were there to inaugurate proceedings, the honourary guest being Ximo Puig, President of the Valencian Community.

A spectacular sculptue, commissioned by Port Denia, by the artist Teo San José was also unveiled to celebrate the event. General Manager of Port Denia, Albert Morell, commented that "the project represents our company's dedication and long term commitment to developing and improving the Denia Port's infrastructure and services for the benefit of everyone."  Increased street lighting will also serve to optimise security for the marina, while superyachts can now receive up to 1050 amps in shore power.

Superyachts up to 138 metres LOA can berth in Port Denia, making it part of the world’s list of largest capacity marinas. Aside from the global positioning, the culture of the traditional, lively and yet historic Spanish town is busy enough for crew and guests while offering the quiet sophistication of the Spanish old town style and 25km of blue flag beaches.  Port Denia is located just 45 miles from Formentera and Ibiza, perfect for a few days trip to some of the most sought after lifestyle nightspots in the world.  The marina offers a number of top quality spanish and international restaurants and nightlife, whilst the town centre is just 50 metres away.

Strategically placed for the ideal start or finishing phases of a Caribbean crossing, the facilities and shipyard offers both mooring and repairs, while all on-shore amenities cover the full spectrum of needs for large yachts as well as the owners and guests travelling to and from the passerelle from anywhere in the world.  The shipyard facilities themselves feature two haul-out slipways available for superyachts up to 1200GT.
