Maritime communications agency Saltwater Communications is sponsoring an award category at the inaugural IBI/METS Boat Builder Business Achievement Awards 2015.

An experienced public relations, social media and advertising specialist in the marine leisure, commercial maritime and superyacht sectors, Saltwater is named sponsor of the Retail Marketing Initiative category.

The new awards initiative has been organised by IBI, in conjunction with METS organiser Amsterdam RAI, to recognise the business achievements of individuals and teams within the global leisure boat building industry.

Georgina Bartlett, Managing Director of Saltwater, said: “It is really important that the outstanding achievements of people who are the driving force within the boat building and manufacturing companies are given the platform they deserve.

“With our 25-year background and commitment to the marine industry, we are delighted to support the inaugural Boat Builder Business Achievement Awards as a positive initiative right at the heart of the industry to be held during the high-profile METS exhibition.

“We are particularly pleased to be involved in acknowledging great marketing initiatives in our sponsorship of the Retail Marketing Initiative category award, as the promotion of quality messaging and communication is another way to support boat sales and boat business. If boat builders are marketing themselves well, it helps to grow the industry of which we are all proud to be a part.”
