This May, Superyacht Events will host the first edition of The Superyacht Owner’s Summit, in association with Prestige London and the London, Yacht, Jet and Prestige Car Show.…

The first week of May will see prospective superyacht and private jet owners, their advisors and experts descend on London for The Superyacht Owner’s Summit, a focused briefing on luxury acquisition and managing UHNW commodities.

The event, held from 4 – 6 May, will reflect the ethos of The Superyacht Owner and Superyacht Buyer magazines: offering clear and concise information on a range of issues for an UHNW audience. Each day will dissect the current markets of Air, Land and Sea; aviation, marinas and superyachts respectively.

An unmissable opportunity for superyacht consultants, advisors, wealth managers and family officers, this event is the chance to hear candid advice from those directly involved of all stages of the luxury asset acquisition process, in order for attendees to successfully counsel their clients. The Superyacht Owner's Summit is an ideal occasion for those entering the world of ultra-high-net-worth commodities to learn how to get the most out of their assets.

The event’s dynamic format of a panel discussion, followed by a question and answer session ensures that a diverse range of topics and issues will be communicated over three days.

Ideally held in central London’s Old Billingsgate, this event will be cover the following agenda points each day: The Smart Acquisition Process, The Investment Opportunity, The Legal Position and The Fiscal Treatment.

The first day of the summit, ‘Air’ on 4 May, will explore the world of aviation. What can the superyacht market learn from this industry? Looking at aircraft financing, charter opportunities and techniques, day one will offer an educational glimpse into an industry with many parallels to our market. Offering his expertise, Janus Kamradt, Executive Jet Management (NetJets) is the first panellist confirmed for day one.

Day two of The Superyacht Owner’s Summit will analyse the world of marinas, what options are available and what needs to be considered when investing in marina berths across the globe? Offering their expertise and insight as one of Europe’s most prominent marinas, OneOcean Port Vell are official partners of the day.

The event will feature panel discussions and Q&A sessions

The third and final morning will see a panel of seasoned superyacht experts, featuring Adrian McCourt of Watkins Superyachts and Vassilis Fotilas from Fraser Yachts dissect the issues from a management and brokerage perspective. The day will provide an introduction to yachting for prospective owners, explain processes and pitfalls of ownership, how to successfully manage a client’s needs and include words of wisdom regarding tax and fiscal issues.
