Women in Yachting and Ocean Advocacy Honorary Host Committee

The SeaKeepers Society has unveiled the list of personnel that will comprise 'Women in Yachting & Ocean Advocacy', the Honorary Host Committee for the 2012 Bal de la Mer which is honoring Agnès Troublé—known throughout the world as agnès b.

The event is being held at the Rooftop Terrace, Fairmont Hotel, Monte Carlo, Monaco on Thursday 20 September 2012 at 7:30pm EDT.

“We are excited that agnès b is joining our other remarkable female recipients of the SeaKeepers Award including Marjory Stoneman Douglas and Dr. Sylvia Earle,” said Patty Elkus, of San Diego, California, Chairman of the Host Committee and International SeaKeepers Board Member. “She is a perfect example and role model to represent this year’s Women in Yachting/Women in Ocean Advocacy theme and celebration."

The Honorary Host Committee welcoming agnès b — and the world’s most ardent ocean stewards to the Bal de la Mer — is comprised of many recognisable and familiar names from environmental organisations, philanthropies and the superyacht industry. The Committee is charged with extending a warm invitation to attend the Bal de la Mer, promoting the event and ocean stewardship, and providing unity among their far reaching professional interests and networks.
