'Diamonds are Forever' at Monaco

Diamonds are Forever owner and Bond fan John Staluppi may be looking forward as much to his yacht’s appearance at Monaco as he is to the next release in the famous Fleming saga. Diamonds are Forever's debut at Monaco happens to co-incide with the build up to 'Skyfall', starring Daniel Craig, released in October. The link is fantastic timing for this new Benetti 61m custom build lending the superyacht extra Bond allure.

Diamonds are Forever will be proudly displaying her elegant external lines and customization. These include the addition of a top deck above the flybridge, which has created a panoramic deck 12m above sea level, two panoramic master suits, with four guest staterooms, a guest elevator to all decks, a full beam sky lounge and vast open and shaded deck areas. The elevator reaches the additional top deck, while the aft of the sun-deck allows for helicopter operations. On the main deck is a fitness room and a relaxation and beauty parlour.

Twelve guests can be accommodated in Diamonds are Forever across six cabins. Both master and second owner’s suite have 180º sea views. The owner’s suite has array of features such as private study, bathroom, separate toilets and walk-in wardrobe.



The interior décor and design furnishings are by Evan K. Marshall/Usonia V, a London-based interior specialist who has already designed several yachts for Staluppi. The interior uses fine Italian marble, onyx, Mardona burlwood, gold leaf, mother of pearl, and marieux crystal.

The 61m Benetti has a maximum speed of 16 knots, a cruising speed of 15 knots, and an oceanic range of 4800 nautical miles at 12 knots.

Diamonds are Forever will be shown alongside Benetti's Lyana (FB248, 60mt) and Illusion (FB246, 47mt).

She will appear before Monaco at the Cannes boat show (11-16 September)
