As August came to a close, brokerage activity remained fairly in tune with the rest of the month: Two sales were made, while 14 new central agencies were announced and price reductions jumped from only three in the previous weeks’ activity to 13 between 28 August and 3 September.

Superyacht Sales

The week’s two sales were below the 40m mark: 27.54m 1995 Cantieri Navali Falcon’s Dynasty, which was refit in 2007, and 35.05m 1968 Feadship Beija Flor.

Dynasty was sold through Ocean Independence and sold by Yannis Mistopoulos, she had an asking price of €450,000 while Beija Flor was on offer through Fraser Yachts and sold by Neal Esterly. She was listed with an asking price of $4,450,000.


27.54m Cantieri Navali Falcon build Dynasty was sold this week.

New Central Agencies


Fifteen new central agencies, up from eight the previous week, were listed on the market this week.

All bar one vessel was under the 50m mark: 78.6m 2003 Royal Denship build Pegasus V. She is on offer for a price of $94,900,000 with Ken Denison at Denison & Daves.

Ocean Independence have four yachts listed as central agencies: 32.5m 2012 CNL motoryacht Lumar for sale with Rainer Wilhelm with an asking price of €4,850,000; 31.12m 2005 Can Dam Nordia sailing yacht Psyrax and 26m 2005 Mangusta motoryacht Cento by Excalibur, both on offer with Marc Haendle, with an asking price of €4,500,000 and €1,450,000 respectively; and 43.3m 2003 Trinity motoryacht Espresso III, which is a joint listing with Worth Avenue Yachts with an asking price of $13,995,000.

The 25m 2009 Nautor Swan sailing yacht Inukshuk is listed for an asking price of €4,900,000 with Jodi O’Brien at Fraser Yachts. This week Fraser has also listed 26m 1992 Moonen build La Dolce Vita, which was refit this years and is for sale through James Munn for an asking price of €1,490,000 and 27.25m 2009 Tecnomar Nida in a joint central agency with Ventura Yachts. Nida has an asking price of €2,750,000.

Y.CO listed 43.6m motoryacht Larisa this week with an asking price of $15,750,000. She was completed this year and built by Benetti.

Motoryacht Pantaran, at 33.5m and built by Cantieri Navali Lavagna is 2003 is for sale through Camper & Nicholsons’ broker Jordan Waugh for an asking price of €5,950,000.

Burgess has listed, for an asking price of $9,900,000, Feadship’s 45.7m 1991 build motoryacht Lady Allison.

A Carbon Ocean Yachts 82 sailing yacht is on offer through Jim Archer at Bluewater Yachting. The 25.1m yacht is for sale for $8,995,000.

Mason Staring at Ardell Yacht & Ship Brokers has listed 29.87m Versilcraft build Mercedes. The motoryacht, completed in 1987, is on sale for an asking price of $995,000.

Hatteras built motoryacht Tranquility, built in 1995 and refit in 2006, is listed through a joint central agency between Whit Kirtland at Bradford Marine Yachts Sales and International Yacht Collection (IYC). The 39.6m yacht is listed for $5,500,000.

The joint central agency of 39m sailing yacht Ganesha was announced as the week in brokerage came to a close. Built by Fitzroy Yachts in 2006, she is listed with Dubois Yachts and James McMaster at McMaster Yachts for €13,750,00.

Price Reductions


The total price for the 13 reductions announced this week came to €13,166,293 and had a cumulative length of 489.41m.

Representative of nearly half of the combined reductions was the $6,000,000 deduction from the asking price of 77.7m motoryacht Lone Ranger. Built by Schichau GmbH Bremerhaven in 1973 and refit in 1994 and 1997, she is on sale through Y.CO for an asking price of $14,000,000. Y.CO also reduced the price on 30.3m 2005 Nautor Swan Fantastica by €900,000 bringing her asking price to €4,600,000.

Northrop and Johnson made two reductions this week: $150,000 on the 1990 Brooke Marine built 30.7m sailing yacht Ripple, on sale with Simon J. Turner, giving her a new asking price of  €1,400,000, and $205,000 on the 1975 Palmer Johnson build 26.8m motoryacht Aria bringing her asking price down to $995,000.

Ocean Independence’s two price reductions were on the 2000 33m Cantieri di Pisa motoryacht Pollux,for sale through Peter Hurzeler and Marc Haendle, and 2010 43.13m Pax Navi sailing yacht Clear Eyes. Pollux’s new asking price is €3,950,000 following a €500,000 reduction and Clear Eyes is now on offer for €8,500,500, also receiving a €500,000 reduction.

Sailing yacht Rapture and motoryacht Idol had their asking prices reduced by Fraser Yachts. Built by Southern Wind in 2007 30.4m Rapture, represented by Georges Bourgoignie, had a €450,000, bringing her asking price to €5,450,000. The 58.9m Idol was built by Austal Ships in 2007 and refit in 2011 and is represented by David Legrand. Her €2,500,000 reduction brings her new asking price to €29,500,000.


Motoryacht Idol is for sale for €29,500,000.

Knight and Carver build Altamar and Northern Marine’s Lora had their prices reduced by Ardell Yachts. 26.8m motoryacht Altamar, built in 1998, has a new asking price of $1,725,000 after a $265,000 price reduction while 24.38m 2002 motoryacht Lora is now asking $3,145,000 after a $650,000 price reduction.

IYC made a $100,000 reduction on D-Version. The 24.7m motoryacht was built in 1998 by Cheoy Lee and is for sale with Chany Sabates III for the new price of $1,395,000.

Camper & Nicholsons reduced 39.6m 2006 Astelleros M.Cles build Centium by €1,000,000 to bring her to an asking price of €8,900,000.

The final reduction was made on 2011 build Axantha II. The 43m motoryacht, built by JFA and for sale through Neo Yachting, had a €1,000,000 reduction to bring her to a new asking price of €18,500,000.
