September is over and with it the Monaco Yacht Show. Of the launches that took place 73m Grace E from the Perini Navi Group was a stand out new entry to the fleet. September also saw the announcement of several new orders, which is a hugely positive sign for industry growth and recovery.


New Launches




AB116 - AB Yachts (FIPA Group) launched 36.2m AB116 at the end of August, with the yacht making her debut at the Cannes Yacht Show. Read more here.



Grace E – The Perini Navi Group has launched 73m M/Y Grace E, the flagship yacht in its Picchiotti line, from the division's La Spezia shipyard.   Read more here.



Sehamia - On 21 September Gulf Craft launched their third yacht this year, a distinctively coloured Majesty 135 named 'Sehamia'. Read more here.



Soraya 46 - Soraya Yachts launched 46.5m Soraya 46, from their Antalya yard in Turkey. The yacht is the debut launch from the yard. Read more here.





Fleet News




New Orders

31.3m Pendennis - Pendennis announced the signing for a new build 31.3m aluminium sloop, to be designed by Dubois Naval Architects. Read more here.

46m Vitters - Dutch yard Vitters confirmed at MYS that they have signed a new order for a 46m aluminium sloop designed by Frers, to be built for an experienced owner. Read more here.

60m Mondo Marine - Italian yard Mondo Marine has signed a new build contract for a 60m superyacht. Read more here.

Project Freefall - Moran Yacht & Ship has announced the signing of the order for 75m 'Project Freefall', the first Amels 242. Read more here.

Progress Reports

C.2218 – Future Fibres has delivered the 76m mast for the in-build 60m S/Y C.2218 to Perini Navi. Read more here.

Project Galatea – The 40m yacht, currently in build, has been sold by Heesen. She features advanced aluminium hull technology and is capable of 28 knots. Read more here.

Project Orchid - Lürssen launched the hull of 91m Project Orchid on 11 September. The yacht, designed by Reymond Langton, will deliver to her owner in 2015. Read more here.



Deliveries

Finish Line - American shipyard Trinity Yachts have delivered 36.7m raised pilothouse superyacht Finish Line to her American owner. Read more here.

State of Grace - The Perini Navi Group delivered their 53rd sailing yacht, 40m State of Grace. The yacht, which launched in January, is the first in their new 40m Fast Cruising series. Read more here. 



Refits


Black Pearl – 31.5m Black Pearl has undergone refit work in Florida, with work including a new deck crane system. Read more here.

Montigne – 57m Montigne is undergoing a rapid 6-week refit at Solent Refit ahead of FLIBS. Read more here.

Rebecca - German Frers designed 42m ketch Rebecca will have a new teak deck and modification of interior spaces during a winter refit at home-yard Pendennis. Read more here.

Seawolf - Refit partners Integrated Marine Group and Atollvic have undertaken a cross-hemisphere project on M/Y Seawolf. The yacht underwent refit work in NZ at IMG in 2012 and is now in Spain at Atollvic for follow up work. Read more here. 



Yard News

Monaco Marine
- The superyacht refit group Monaco Marine is set to redevelop the Bois Sacré site in Toulon, which will include a dedicated area for large catamarans. Read more here.

3 – 9 September - Three sales completed, 15 new central agencies announced, 10 price reductions made and two other brokerage announcements made. Read more here.
