Superyacht Fleet Overview and Launches in March 2014

As Q1 of 2014 drew to a close, March was another busy month for fleet activity, with launches including 81.8m Kibo from Abeking & Rasmussen and 50m Belongers from Couach. More new orders have been added to the global order book including 74m Project Thor from Lurssen and a 77m from CRN.

Launches

122 Mythos - On March 17 Riva, part of the Ferretti Group, launched its biggest build to date, 37.5m 122 Mythos, for a Brazilian owner. Read more here.



Belongers - Chantier Naval Couach returned to the superyacht new build sector with the launch of its second 5000 Fly vessel 50m Belongers. Read more here.



CL124/5 - Custom Line launched their the fifth Ferretti CL124. The 37.8m yacht is the flagship of the Custom Line range and Ferretii brand. Read more here.



CRN133 - CRN has launched 61m CRN 133, designed by Francesco Paszkowski and the CRN team. Completion work and sail trials are now underway before her April delivery. Read more here.



Hull 5012 - Westport has launched the twelfth model from its 50m Westport 164 line. The 50m motoryacht is the third launch for Westport in 2014. Read more here.



Kibo - Abeking & Rasmussen has launched the second largest superyacht ever to be built by the German yard. The 81.8m, hull 6497 hit the water on Sunday 9 March. Read more here.



Polaris -
Rossinavi have launched 48.3m Polaris (FR028), the second yacht in their Prince Shark series. Read more here.



New Orders

46m Baglietto - Baglietto has announced the sale of an in-build 46m (Hull 10217), due in early 2015, to an eastern European client. Read more here.

77m CRN - CRN has signed a new LOI for the construction of a 77m motoryacht, destined for the Middle-Eastern market. Read more here.

Admiral Impero RPH - Admiral Tecnomar has secured an order for the construction of an Admiral Impero RPH. The order coincides with the final stages of construction for a 37m. Read more here.

Amels 180 - Amels announced that a 55m Amels 180 has been sold and will be delivered 16 months from now, in May 2015. Read more here.

Project Thor - Lürssen secured its first new order of 2014, with the announcement that construction will shortly begin on the 74m Project Thor. The German shipyard will resume its longstanding partnership with Moran Yacht & Ship, which brokered the deal and will manage the project through to its delivery. Read more here.

30.5m Hodgdon - Hodgdon Yachts announced the successful infusion of the 100ft carbon fibre hull mould for their 30.5m race boat project due for delivery at the end of 2014. Read more here.

54m Baglietto - Baglietto has embarked upon construction of a new 54m superyacht, a contract that was signed at the end of February. Read more here.

Big Star – McMullen & Wing are  back at work following the reported recommencement and sale of Big Star. Read more here.

Wider 165 – At the Miami Boat Show Wider provided more details on their in-build Wider 165. The yacht will be the yard’s largest build to date and is being built for the yard’s co-owner. Read more here.

Deliveries

Galatea - Heesen’s latest launch, the 40m ‘sportster’ Galatea completed her sea trials in Hellevoetsluis in the western Netherlands. Read more here.

Grace E - The 73m Picchiotti flagship Grace E from the Perini Navi Group’s line of Vitruvius motoryachts has successfully completed her sea trials. Read more here.
