Oceanco has delivered its new 90m superyacht Y716 DreAMBoat to its owners. This latest project is the result of a first-time design collaboration between Espen Øino International and Terence Disdale Design.

Roderick Gort, project director at Oceanco describes the delivery of DreAMBoat as a “milestone in the construction process of delivering the ‘Owners Perfect Yacht’.”

With a volume of 2950gt, it allows ample space for up to 23 guests and a generous crew’s quarters for up to 33 crewmembers. The yacht’s large overhangs from the superstructure and cut outs in the bulwarks create a classic and strong appearance. Øino, who penned the exterior design, describes the overall effect as a yacht “with clean uncluttered lines and a coherent design".

The emphasis of the design is on large windows that flood the interior with natural light and offers excellent views from the inside. The exterior boasts a large swimming pool on the main deck, an enormous partially enclosed sundeck with a Jacuzzi and myriad options for seating and entertaining. The owner also has a private jacuzzi on their deck.

According to Oceanco, Disdale’s attention to detail has meant that the interior is sophisticated and serene, incorporating bespoke surfaces, natural wood, limestone floors, semi-precious stone vanities, parchment, leather and mother of pearl. Following his philosophy to not gild the lily, the overall effect is “chic but not overdone”.

DreAMBoat boasts state-of-the-art technology throughout – from its complex IP ship’s computer operating system to its full carbon copy mast house and mast, which forms an integral part of the overall design.

Discussing the finished product, the owner’s representative Dan Jackson, says: "From the first time the Owner saw the boat, still in pink faring compound in the outfitting facility and met all involved in the project, he knew that the combination of Espen's timeless exterior, Terence Disdale's elegant and calming interior and Oceanco's ability to deliver the boat on time and to the quality he required, was just right for him. So, after some minor enhancements made to suit him and his family, we got right into it and here we are, 18 months later, proud to be delivering him his DreAMBoat."

2018 proved to be of Oceanco’s most productive years to date, and, after this strong start, 2019 is set to be another fine year for the Dutch superyacht building behemoth.
