Jongert back on the superyacht scene

Jongert reports that the first superyacht in its new Performance Line, the 3200P, is progressing well and will be ready in 2015.…

The Jongert yard is a hive of activity again, for the first time since Lucia-M was delivered to her owner in March 2010. Work is continuing apace on the flagship 32m, first reported on by SuperyachtNews.com in September 2012, from the new Performance Line.

The 3200P is a collaboration with Rhoades Young and Doug Peterson and is being built with performance in mind. Featuring a lifting keel and racing hull lines, the vessel will also house a private beach platform for the owner, directly accessible from the master cabin. There is also a forward pool and an alfresco seating area aft.

Commenting on the vessel’s design Jonathan Rhoades said, “A highlight of the design is the large amount of glass area, which increases the interaction between the inside and outside of the yacht, exemplified by the full-beam owner’s suite which opens onto the large aft beach deck via large glass doors.  An assortment of exterior seating locations also enable a variety of experiences to be enjoyed whilst on-board, be it dining in the main cockpit, navigating from the helm stations or relaxing on the aft-beach deck.”

Inside the yacht reads ‘New York apartment’ with complementary textured woods, leather panelling and soft furnishings. In addition to the owner’s cabin, there are two additional guest cabins, with the option for a third.
