Horizon Yachts receives new order

Horizon Yachts signs new order for Mexican clients…

Taiwanese superyacht builder, Horizon Yachts, has secured a new order for a new 35m superyacht, currently known simply as the CC115. This brings the number of yachts under construction up to five, including M/Y Do It Now, which is scheduled for delivery later this year.

The new project has been sold to new Mexican owners, who, according to the shipyard “have an abundance of knowledge and experience in both engineering and yachting”.

Working closely with the owner, the CC115 is a collaborative project with designer Cor D. Rover, who has designed the exterior and numerous features on the yacht. Horizon explains that the yacht is fundamentally a family orientated vessel, as the owner has a large family. With this in mind, Horizon has included a number of aspects, such as a family theatre area on the foredeck and a Hi-Lo swim platform.

“We are very pleased these new owners selected Horizon to build their yacht,” says Horizon CEO, John Lu. “It is a great testament to our strengths and capabilities as a luxury yacht manufacturer, and it is exciting to partner again to partner with Cor on this project. His expertise as a superyacht designer, combined with the unique visions of this experienced owner and our proven build quality ensure this new Horizon C115 will be nothing short of magnificent.”

The new yacht is scheduled for in 2018, along with two other yachts, both of which have an LOA of 35.35m.
