Feadship has relaunched 70m Siran at Makkum after a nine-month refit on 9 June.
Siran was launched in 1991 in Makkum and is the last of seven Feadships to be designed by Jon Bannenberg. This is the second major refit of Siran, the first was in 2005 where she was lengthened from 65m to 70m and given a new superstructure on the sun deck to accommodate a gym and entertainment room.
The latest refit has seen further adaptations to the sun deck superstructure and more of the aft deck has been covered, improving wind shelter. The composite sun deck has also been extended by approximately 2.5m and is supported by aluminium sidewalls and pivoting glass windbreak panels.
Paintwork was also done on the hull and the propulsion system was upgraded to new low noise propellers.
LOA: 70
Beam: 10.21
Launch: 1991
