The first Dynamiq yacht to launch, 39m Jetsetter, was styled by the Dobroserdov Design team with interior design by Bannenberg & Rowell and was built at the Admiral-Tecnomar facility in Carrara, Italy. To introduce more transparency to the buying process, Dynamiq also offered clients the opportunity to customise their purchase from a long list of options via an automotive-style online configurator that automatically tracks the overall price at the same time.  

Since then, company founder Sergei Dobroserdov has acquired his own construction facility in Viareggio and in February laid the keel of a new project: the Dynamiq GTT 115 (GTT stands for Grand Turismo Transatlantic), designed by Studio F.A. Porsche in Austria with hull lines and naval architecture by Vripack and van Oossanen.

It is not Porsche’s first foray into yacht design having collaborated on the Fearless 28 luxury speedboat and the ill-fated RFF135 power catamaran with Royal Falcon Fleet. But Roland Heiler, MD of Studio Porsche, describes the Dynamiq project as a “paradigm change”. 

In terms of exterior styling, the 35m GTT 115 is based on its slightly larger predecessor, but the lines have been tweaked to appeal to sports car enthusiasts with signature Porsche styling cues such as the Targa-style mullions and the transom that echoes the Mission E concept. It is also available in Porsche Carrara white, Rhodium Silver, Chalk or custom Monte-Carlo Blue exterior livery, and the deck cushions feature fabric centres with a classic Pepita houndstooth pattern, similar to the latest Porsche 991 R.

The styling may or may not appeal, but Dynamiq has also chosen to embrace hybrid propulsion technology for the first GTT 115. As on Jetsetter, it features Fortjes CRP pods, but this time they are coupled with 1213kW MAN diesel engines and 45kW Fischer Panda variable-speed generators located in the bow away from the guest areas for quieter night time operation and to avoid smoke and fumes at anchor.  The yacht is expected to exceed a maximum speed of 21 knots (6 knots in electric mode) with a range of 3.400nm. The round bilge aluminium hull has a shallow draft of 1.45m and a specially engineered stabilisation system from Humphree with four electric fins and interceptors.

On the inside, there is accommodation for 6-8 guests in three or four luxury cabins (with 6 crew this provides the magic 1:1 ratio for top service). Head heights, even on the lower deck, are a generous 2.15m. Although the basic interior design is by Studio F.A. Porsche, the free-standing furniture was developed in collaboration with the Italian designer brand Minotti (furnishings and more technical features from the propulsion system to navigation electronics can be customised via the online configurator).

Following feedback from clients and brokers, Dobroserdov is purposely targeting the sub-40m sector and believes that his yachts offer the space, comfort and amenities of larger yachts in a more convenient package.

“Our target clients might include those who are looking to downsize from larger 50- or 60-metre yachts,” he explains. “They are already accustomed to the highest standards, but are ready to leave behind the hassle and huge costs of owning large vessels so they can enjoy the fun side of yacht ownership.”

A limited edition of seven GTT 115 yachts will be built (starting at a base price of €11.900,000) with a short delivery time of 15 months from the date of order. The first unit will debut at the 2017 Monaco Yacht Show. A GTT 100 and 85 are also in development.
