Burgess has announced the signing of a 110m new build motor yacht project at Oceanco, which will be the largest yacht ever to be constructed to date in Holland. At approximately 4,200 gross tons and Passenger Yacht Code (PYC) compliant, exterior styling is by Igor Lobanov, while Sam Sorgiovanni has been appointed to design the interior.

Delivery is slated for 2016 and the Technical Consultancy Services division of Burgess will be acting as technical consultants and owner’s representatives. This is the second new build project over 100m to be signed in the last nine months by Burgess, who currently have three PYC megayachts already in build.

Burgess Technical Consultancy Services, with a team comprising technical managers, naval architects and specialist marine engineers, has project-managed the build of some of the most significant deliveries of recent years, including 133m Al Mirqab, 110m Dilbar, 85m Sunrays, 80m Amevi and 62.5m Baton Rouge, to name just a few. Over the past decade, Burgess new build projects have been successfully delivered in 23 shipyards across three continents and this prolific division of Burgess currently has yachts of a collective length of 1,070m under construction and development.

The most recent projects include 70m Talisman C, 65m Seanna and 55m Galileo G, all of which were successfully delivered to their owners in time for the 2011 summer season, followed by the delivery of 96m Vava II earlier this year.
