Benetti launches 42m M/Y ‘Ironman’
It is the sixth Fast 140’ model launched from the Italian yard…
Last week, Viareggio-based Benetti launched M/Y Ironman, a 42m semi-displacement fibreglass yacht. Recognised in The Superyacht Intelligence Annual Report 2018: New Build as the most active superyacht builder in the world, Benetti is scheduled to deliver 14 yachts over the course of 2018, which would be the highest number of units delivered annually by the yard in the last five years.
The sixth of Benetti’s Fast 140’ models, Ironman’s exterior has been designed by Stefano Righini, and has interiors designed by US-based designer Alfred Karram Jr and his studio Akj Design Concepts. The naval architecture has been developed by PierLuigi Ausonio alongside Azimut Benetti. A key specification, the hull has been optimised to reduce fuel consumption at cruising speed and reach a top speed of 23 knots.
The yacht’s main lounge is divided into living and dining areas and features large areas of glass, creating light and an enhanced connection with the marine environment. On the same deck is a big full-beam master suite. The upper deck is home to the pilot house and lounge area. Separated by a sliding glass door, the space flows between the indoor and outdoor areas.
The rest of the guest accommodation is situated on the lower deck and consists of two VIP cabins with double beds, two cabins with twin beds, plus a third VIP cabin with a double bed, accessible via the twin bed cabin. Aft on this deck is a spacious beach club with bar and living area. A further relaxation and entertainment area for guests is featured on the sundeck.
