Begum Yachting lists 40.1m M/S Don Chris for sale

Don Chris was built in 2010 by Barka Shipyard, part of Begum Yachting and located in Bodrum, Turkey. She has a steel hull, deck and superstructure, with all of the interior and exterior design carried out by the shipyard.
Accommodation for 12 guests is spread over five cabins, comprising of a classically styled, 45 square meter, full-beam master stateroom that boasts its own office and an en suite featuring a hand-carved wooden bathtub. In addition, there are two double cabins with en suite bathrooms and office work-spaces, and two twin cabins that are both fitted with Pullmans for additional accommodation. The lower beds in the twin cabins are child-friendly and can be neatly transformed into cots.
Don Chris has two Volvo Penta 650hp engines with a fuel capacity of 11,000 litres. The Superyacht Intelligence Agency’s data shows that the average fuel capacity for 37.5-42.5m sailing yachts is 13,300 litres. Her lower than average fuel capacity is evidently not to the detriment of range under engine power, with a reach of 1,400 nautical miles at 9-knots (with a 15% reserve). This range can, of course, be enhanced by motor sailing.
An advantage of smaller fuel tanks is that it frees up additional interior space that sees her able to accommodate an above average number of guests for a yacht of her size. Furthermore, Don Chris has a full complement of tenders, toys and other water sports equipment, adding to the appeal of what makes her an ideal family charter yacht.
