Amels confirms sale of 55m Limited Edition superyacht

Dutch shipyard Amels has announced the sale of the Amels 180 Limited Edition superyacht. Her exterior styling is by renowned UK designer Tim Heywood, whose experience has resulted in a significantly faster delivery time, according to Amels. The interior designer, selected by the owner is yet to be revealed.
After being unveiled at the Monaco Yacht show in 2005, Amels has built more than 20 Limited Edition superyachts, a range which represents 35 per cent of the 56-vessel Amels fleet. Amels is also preparing to introduce the sixth member of the of the Limited Editions fleet at this year's Monaco Yacht Show. There are currently eight yachts under construction. “The continuing success of the AMELS 180, and the whole 55 to 83-metre Limited Editions range has really continued unabated,” stated Managing Director, Rob Luijendijk. “We’re seeing strong interest in our offering from the Middle East, Latin America and renewed interest from Russia. Exchange rates have played a role with our clients in the US, but we believe the key to our success is our commitment to continuously improve, listen to owner feedback and strive for perfection.”
The Amels 180 will be delivered in Spring 2017.
