Delta launches Arianna

US yard, Delta, the Seattle based composite yacht specialist, has launched custom motoryacht, Arianna.

Designed and engineered in-house by the Delta Design Group, Arianna is an all-composite 50m full-displacement motor yacht. She will be delivered to her owners in June.

With a beam of nearly 10m, and over 2,286 square metres of living area Arianna has a notably large interior volume in proportion to her length. Delta says she is built to ‘travel and explore’ and is equipped for transoceanic cruising.

Her build was overseen by SG Private Wealth Advisors, a billionaire-founded family office that provides professional services to domestic and international clients. The firm has also been chosen by the owner to manage the marketing, and in particular, to promote the yacht’s availability to charter upon completion of her maiden voyage. There are plans afoot for Arianna to be at the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show in October.

“It is exciting to see Arianna materialise and retain the original vision of her owner without compromise,” said Dovi Frances, co-founder of SG Private Wealth Advisors. “From the start of the project, SG Private Wealth Advisors has overseen all elements of the design and build process for Arianna.”

She is billed as 'an elegant, comfortable, [yacht]..suitable for a family at home on the seas’, whilst distinctive touches include her Polynesian inspired interior.

The interior features rare tropical hardwoods including Mascassar ebony, Wenge and Koa. Balinese-inspired touches such as a solid slab dining table with natural unfinished edges and colorful blown glass lighting are some of the elements that complete the design. Other details include inlaid silk carpets, organic fabrics and textures, woven leather and natural stone.

The large owner’s suite, located on the upper deck, is typical of the general large interior volume of Arianna. Other rooms include a stately lounge, private outdoor deck, dining area, and a customised room for children or family members. Forward on the main deck is a fully equipped gym with a ‘generous’ sauna, and a private office with an antique, German-built safe. Both of these areas include stained glass skylights and large hull-side windows.

Outdoors, Arianna has a variety of areas equipped for al fresco dining or sun bathing. There is a large aft seating area on the main deck and the sun deck features a day head, Jacuzzi tub, sunning chairs, and a large island bar. Guests are shaded by a lightweight carbon fibre bimini. A lift accesses allows guests to access all four decks.

Arianna is equipped with twin Caterpillar 3512B engines that give her a cruising speed of 14.5 knots and a maximum speed of 16 knots. She carries 82,900 litres of fuel and has a range of over 5,000 nautical miles. Her main tender is stowed in a float-in garage with a smaller tender stowed on the sun deck.

The American Superyacht Forum takes place from 21 to 23 May. Issues such as building a better business model to ensure growth and the state of the US market will be covered across seven hard hitting sessions.
