Orion among six 30m+ yachts reduced in price at Ocean Independence
The owner of Sanlorenzo’s Orion has instructed a €1.4 million price reduction at Ocean Independence. The 38.5m motoryacht is currently lying in Marmaris, Turkey, with a new asking price of €8.5 million.
Orion is hull 103 of Sanlorenzo’s 40 Alloy series and one of 10 superyachts to be delivered by Sanlorenzo in 2009. The Italian yard primarily build in GRP, but Orion is one of the 10.5% of Sanlorenzo's fleet to be built entirely of aluminium, which was first implemented by the yard in 2007 with the delivery of M/Y 4A.
The naval architecture and exterior work was completed in-house and the interior work was completed by Francesco Paszkowski, who has designed the interior for 36% of the live Sanlorenzo fleet. Orion is able to accommodate 10 guests over a five-cabin layout.
Orion has a 30,000 litre fuel capacity, which is marginally under the average of 36,219 litres for live 36m – 41m motoryachts. Her range is 1,100 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 15 knots and she is fitted with two MTU 12V4000 M90 (2,750hp) engines allowing her to reach a maximum speed of 27 knots, making her most suited to short-range cruising or day cruising.
