M/Y ‘Book-Ends’ sold by Moran Yacht & Ship
In under 100 days since it was listed on the market, Moran Yacht & Ship has sold the 39.62m Westport motoryacht, Book-Ends, which had a final asking price of $17.9 million.
The tri-deck, semi-displacement yacht has a composite hull and superstructure and was delivered by the American yard in 2013. She is able to accommodate 10 guests over five staterooms and features the interior work of the Westport design team, and the exterior work of Donald Starkey.
There were nine Westport yachts above 30m that were sold last year, which comprised of 5.2 per cent of 2014 re-sales. Since 2012, there have now been 13 Westport 40/130 re-sales. The chart below has been compiled using the selling price or final asking price at the time of the re-sale and has been analysed against the age of the build. Some yachts have not been sold at a given age (represented by ‘N/A’), but the trend-line has been put in to represent what would be a valuation based on historical data.
