‘Buyers stepping up’ shares Kevin Merrigan of N&J
Renamed Spirit of the C’s, and showcased recently at FLIBS, Felicita West was sold solely through Kevin Merrigan of Northrop & Johnson and will run as the flagship yacht for the sailing charter fleet. Merrigan shares “she’s the perfect yacht for her new family who plan to refit her interior and A/V system, adding new toys which will compliment her extensive mechanical, rigging and exterior refit recently completed at Rybovich”.
Although she was on site at FLIBS a few weeks ago, the contract for sale had been in place and was featured to highlight her charter capabilities. As 2014 begins to wind down, Merrigan thinks it will go down as a success overall. “Our partnerships are working well, the website has been a hit, our marketing team is doing an outstanding job and our sales and charter brokers are, as always, working their hearts out. I am extremely proud of what we have accomplished this year”. Not only this but, he feels the market overall has seen a surge from the post-2008 years. “Sales were up in brokerage and new construction and I think buyers are stepping up and realizing the value in a beautiful, well-maintained yacht” he concludes.
The week running 11 – 17 November saw two sales completed, six new central agencies announced, and six price reductions made.
The largest sale this week was, as mentioned, the 64m 2003 Perini Navi built Felicita West, sold solely through Kevin Merrigan of Northrop & Johnson with a price tag of $25,000,000.
The other sale completed this week was through Rytis Babravicius of Camper & Nicholsons International with 1999 Azimut built 29.8m Noni, listed at €1,850,000 and sold in house.
New Central Agencies
Central agencies rose slightly this week to six announced following on from last week’s four. The new listings had a total combined length of 218.66m, with their combined asking prices totalling €21,575,132 ($26,871,170) although one price has been withheld.
The largest new CA announced this week was through Moran Yacht & Ship with 2013 Amels built 55m Engelberg, on the market at an undisclosed price.
26 North Yachts have listed 2004 Lazzara built 33.5m Half Time for sale at $5,200,000.
The remaining four new listings are all from Camper & Nicholsons International: Rick Weisenberger has placed 2005 Custom built 35.66m Crystal II for sale at €4,900,000; Jeremy Comport has listed 2004 Baglietto built 32m High Roller, for sale at €3,250,000; while Rytis Babravicius holds two new listings: 2004 HJB built 32m Cassiopeia is listed at €5,250,000; and 2000 Yachting Development built 30.5m Sindonemo, priced at €4,000,000.
Price reductions rose back up to six this week following last week’s three. The following yachts are still on the market and looking for a buyer:
