‘Harmonious’ Q4 bringing purple patch to sales market
Speaking with SuperyachtNews.com recently, broker at BYS, Thom Conboy shared that “this has been a very positive year, and I think one of the best years since the 2008 downturn”. Following on from his sale of 50m Harmony, Conboy shared his own optimistic views on the resale market at the moment following a busy and fruitful 2014. “I think MYS was a very good show” he mentioned and in the lead up to FLIBS shared that he was feeling very optimistic about the outcomes. “The American market seems extremely buoyant at the moment with many of the other markets following suit.”
With 2015 on the horizon, Conboy believes that “the Bahamas, Caribbean and south Florida will continue a very nice, steady growth, while Montenegro and Croatia continue in a steady and strong path, with the Western Med, and particularly Barcelona, becoming a dominant hub”.
The week running 28 October – 3 November saw four sales completed, 10 new central agencies announced, and six price reductions made.
