Week in Superyacht Brokerage: 77m Smeralda sold plus one more

The week running 23 – 29 October saw two sales completed, 11 new CAs listed and a fall in price reductions with 18 announced.

Superyacht Sales

Quite a large sale completed this week by Chris Blackwell at Hanseatic Marine and BehneMar Dubai representing the buyer, with the 77m Smeralda. Built in 2012 by Hanseatic Marine, she will be renamed Sea Stallion by her new owners. The next sale makes quite a jump down to 27.26m with the S/Y Awol Again. Built by Agantur in 2004, she was sold by Nicholas Dean at Ocean Independence with Carine Yachts representing the buyer, and had an asking price of €900,000.

New Central Agencies

Slight decrease in new CAs announced this week, with 11 announced in total, down from 12 last week. Majority of the listings were in the 24-30m category and had a total combined length of 353.03m, with a total combined asking price of €82,900,653 ($107,313,265).

The largest new listing is the soon to be completed 62.5m Maidelle. Being built by Icon Yachts, she is expected to be launched next year and is listed trough Thom Conboy at Merle Wood & Associates and Burgess at €55,000,000.

Three new listings from Blue Water Yachting: 32m Tempest built Trilogy was completed in 1990, with a refit in 2005 and is listed at €725,000; Little Jems, completed by Leopard in 2004 measures 26m and is on the market at €1,700,000; the final listing is the 24.97m Sunseeker build, Samana with an asking price of €1,500,000.

New listing from Vangelis Filiadis at Cape 4 Yachting with 30.75m Errosea, completed by Azimut in 2010 and listed at €4,300,000.

Canea, built by Overmarine in 1998 measures 25.07m and is on the market through Giulio Riggio at Fraser Yachts for €680,000.

New listing from Moran Yacht & Ship with the 34.6m Broward completed Abbracci. Built in 1994 and refit in 2010, she is on the market for $4,100,000.

Marc Haendle at Ocean Independence has signed the 26.5m Champagne O’Clock, completed by Falcon in 2001 and refit in 2007/8, she is on the market at €1,490,000.

Oliver Sieckmann at Sunseeker Germany has listed 28.14m Maisenhausen completed by Sunseeker in 2004, and is currently on the market at €1,970,000.

Two new listings from Simon Gibson at Worth Avenue Yachts: 36.6m Orinokia was completed by Benetti in 2007 and is jointly listed through Roberto Aboumrad at Performance Boats for $12,300,000; the final new CA this week is 25.9m Poupee, completed by Azimut in 2007 and on the market at $3,795,000.

Price Reductions

Decrease in price reductions this week, on par with two weeks prior with 18 announced in total, compared with 24 from last week. The following yachts are still on the market and looking for buyers:

The largest yacht to be reduced this week was the 61m Diamonds are Forever. Built by Benetti in 2011 and jointly listed through Peter Thompson and Michael White at Ocean Independence and Noell Vawter and Michael Mahan at Worth Avenue Yachts, she is now listed at $59,500,000.

The other reduction in the 50m+ category was listed through Steve Reoch at All Ocean Yachts. Measuring 53.3m and built by Rysco Shipyard in 1977, with a refit in 2009, Proteus is now on the market at $3,150,000.

Nigel Wales at Arrival Yachts has reduced the price of 43.6m Cap de Quers. Built by Cantieri de Pisa in 2006, her new price is €9,900,000.

Following close behind is the 43m 2008 CRN build, Hana, listed through Simon Goldsworthy at Camper & Nicholsons for €12,950,000.

Two reductions this week from Michel Chryssicopoulos at Cape 4 Yachting, both in the 24-30m range: 27.12m Cacos IV was completed by Posillipo in 2009 and is listed at €2,300,000; Falcon Yachts built in 2003, the 26.6m Trap is currently for sale at €1,250,000.

Chamberlain Yachts has reduced the price of 43.6m Van Mill build from 1988, Starship to $6,500,000.

CSO Yacht Sales has announced the reduction of 29m Deema, built by CRN in 1976 and refit in 2002, she is now on the market at €890,000.

Jack Robertson at HMY Yacht Sales has reduced the 2010 Christensen build, 49.3m Remember When to $35,900,000.

Two reductions this week from International Yacht Collection: Frank Grzeszczak & Chany Sabates III have reduced 2009 Trinity Yachts built, 49.1m Anjilis to $24,900,000; with David Nichols reducing 36m 1994 Azimut build, Shalimar to $3,950,000.

New reduction from Sergei Dobroserdov at Nakhimov Yachts with the 55m Heesen Yachts build from 2011, Quinta Essentia to €44,000,000.

Nicolle Associates have announced the reduction of 32m S/Y Liara to €5,950,000 which was completed in 2009 by Performance Yachts.

Two reductions this week from Northrop & Johnson: Kevin Merrigan has reduced 46.93m Delta Marine build from 2006, Mr. Terrible to $23,450,000; with Wes Sanford reducing 32.6m Starlight, built by Derecktor-Goetz in 2003, to $6,495,000.

25m LeClercq 82, built by LeClercq in 2005 was reduced through OceanStyle and Crow’s Nest Yachts to $2,495,000.

Robert Laska at Robert Laska Luxury Yachts reduced 24.4m Ferretti build, Ferretti 80’ to $1,495,000.

The final reduction comes from Rob Newton and Sean Doyle at Yachtzoo, along with Bradford Marine Yacht Sales. 30.75m Azimut built in 2000 Carobelle is now on the market at $2,300,000.
