Week in Superyacht Brokerage: two sales made and drop in price reductions

The week running September 11-17 saw two sales, including 47.55m Slojo, 11 new central agencies and 13 price reductions. Now, with the Monaco Yacht Show taking place this week, all eyes are on how the market will perform over the next month.
Superyacht Sales
There were just two sales this week, totalling 83.55m, both of American-built yachts. The biggest was 47.55m M/Y Slojo, built by Delta Marine in 2008. She was listed by Jody O’Brien at Fraser Yachts, with Josh Gulbranson representing the buyer, and had an asking price of $27.5million.

The second yacht sold was 30.2m M/Y Sullivan Bay, built by Broward in 2000. Jointly listed by RJC Yacht Sales and Florida Yachts International, she had an asking price of $3.995million.
New Central Agencies
There were 12 new CAs announced this week, up from 10 the previous week. Their combined asking prices total €136,062,449 ($17,608,402) and a total combined length of 477.91m.
The biggest new listing was 54.4m Faribana V, built by Amels in 1998 and refitted most recently in 2009. Listed by Chris Richardson at Yachtzoo and Merle Wood & Associates she has an asking price of $37.5million.

Blue Water made two new listings. 26.1m Little Jems, built by Arno in 2004, was listed at a price of €1.7million. 32m Sea Raider IV, built by Sunseeker in 2002, was listed at a price of €2.5million.
Camper & Nicholsons also made two new listings. 46.04m Illusion I, built by Benetti in 2011, was listed by Alex Lees-Buckley and Gaston Lees-Buckley at a price of €23.7million. 47.5m Rochade, built by Delta Marine in 2011, was listed by Michael Rafferty at $45.8million.
49.6m Thunder B, built by Oceanfast in 1998, was listed by James Greenwood at De Valk International for €5million.
Two listings from Fraser Yachts too. 36.12m Nena, built by Cantieri di Pisa this year, was listed by Jan Jaap Minnema and Oscar Romano for €8.5million. 37.7m Freedom, built by Picchiotti in 1986, was listed at $5.65million.
Northrop & Johnson also announced two new listings. 36.24m S/Y Diamond For Ever, built by Royal Huisman in 1987, was listed by Brian Commette at $6.95million. In a joint listing with Burgess, Kevin Merrigan listed 52.7m Passion, built by Swedeship in 1986, for $19.5million.


Price Reductions
Price reductions were down on the previous week, with 13 announced over the course of the week, totalling a value of €21,440,690 ($28,131,861).
The biggest drops of the week were two $5million reductions. Katya, built by Delta Marine in 2009, is listed jointly with Burgess and Merle Wood & Associates and has a new asking price of $34.995million. 49.8m Inevitable, listed by Burgess and built by De Vries in 1990, is now asking $22.5million.
Camper & Nicholsons announced two price reductions. 25.66m Nyala, built by Astondoa in 2011, was reduced by €400,000 to a new price of €1.09million. 47m Imagination, built by Benetti in 2010, was reduced by €2.2million to €19.8million.

Fraser Yachts also had two price reductions. 50m Grace E, built by Codecasa in 2004, was reduced by $1million and is now asking $18.5million. The new build Crescent 144, which is 70% complete, was reduced by $4.4million to a new price of $14.5million.

31.7m S/Y Lochiel, built by Alloy Yachts in 1985 and listed at Northrop & Johnson, was reduced by $855,000 and is now asking $1.995million.
Three reductions from Ocean Independence: 25.05m Noheea built by Trehard in 1987, was reduced by €260,000 and is now asking €990,000; 49.96m Cuor di Leone, built by Benetti in 1999, has had another major reduction of €995,000 and is now asking $15.995million; and 32m Aslec 3, built by Castagnola Cantieri Navali, in 2007, was reduced by €845,000 and is now asking €2.4million.
30.2m S/Y Cape Arrow, built by Southern Wind Shipyards in 2011 and listed by Pegaso, was reduced by €500,000 to now ask €7.3million.
And finally, two reductions from SuperYachts Monaco: 40m Indiana, built by Bilgin Yachts in 2010 was reduced by €1million to €7.95million; and 60m Bacarella, built by Trinity Yachts in 2009, was reduced by $4.05million to now ask $59.9million.
