Week in Superyacht Brokerage: four sales made and price reductions rise

The week running September 4-10 2012 saw four sales made, ten new central agencies listed and 13 price reductions.
Superyacht Sales
Four superyacht sales were made this week, three of which were built by American yards. The four sales totaled 152.82m, with a combined asking price of €36.535milllion ($45.753million).
The biggest yacht sold in the week was 48.77m VF-15, built by Christensen in 2009. Listed jointly by Merle Wood with Camper & Nicholsons representing the buyer she had an asking price of $29.95million.
34.1m Contigo, built by Westport in 2009, was sold by Moran Yacht & Ship, and at the time of sale had an asking price of $7.85million. She is the tenth Westport build sold by brokers in 2010, demonstrating good resale potential for the brand.

35m Texas Star II, built by Denison in 1998, was sold by Denison Yacht Sales in under a month and had an asking price of $1.75million.
Finally, 34.9m Stilvi III, built by Benetti in 2004, was sold in a joint listing by OceanStyle and parent company Burgess. The yacht had an asking price of €5.5million.

New Central Agencies
There were ten new central agencies listed during the week, down from 15 the previous week. Their combined asking prices reached €386,200,305 ($493,347,485) and a total of 488.88m in length.
The biggest new listing of the week was the brand new 88m Nirvana, built by Oceanco in 2012. Listed by Alexander Busher at Edmiston she has an asking price of €230million and will be on display by Oceanco at the Monaco Yacht Show.

Camper & Nicholson had two new listings. 65m Family Day, built by Codecasa in 2010, was listed by Tim Langmead and Richard Higgins at a price of €43million. 34.8m Mady III, built by Couach in 2000 and newly refitted, was listed at a price of €3.5million.
33.53m Relentless, built by Kingship Marine in 2006, was listed by Richard Earp at Fraser Yachts at a price of €5.95million.
Mark Elliot at International Yacht Collection listed 51.8m Dream, built by Feadship in 2003 and refitted in 2009, at a price of $42.9million.
Another Feadship, the 39m Go, was listed by Kevin Merrigan at Northrop & Johnson. Built in 2010 and with an asking price of €21.9million, the yacht will be shown at the upcoming Monaco Yacht Show.

26.8m Oomka was listed by Alastair Walton at Sunseeker. Built by Sunseeker in 2011 she has an asking price of £3.495million.
46m Golden Compass, built by Picchiotti in 1982 and refitted in 2011, was listed by jointly by Noell Vawter at Worth Avenue Yachts and Ocean Independence at a price of $7.9million.
69.65m Sherakhan, built by Vuyk en Zonen in 1965 and refitted in 2005, was listed by Y.CO at a price of €29.9million.
And finally, William Bishop at YPI, together with Derk Jan Rolff at Holland Yacht Partners, listed 33.9m S/Y Annagine, built by JOM in 2011, at an asking price of €7.4million.
Price Reductions
A busy week in this sector, with 19 price reductions made, up 6 on the previous week, totaling €16,377,807 ($21,276,971).
The biggest price reduction of the week was to 49.8m Satori, built by Heesen Yachts in 2011, which saw $4million knocked off her asking price. Listed by Fraser Yachts she has a new asking price of $40million and will be displayed by Fraser at the Monaco Yacht Show.

Close behind in the price reduction stakes was 59m expedition yacht Akula, built by Amels in 1974. Listed by Bluewater Yachting she was reduced by $3.8million to a new asking price of $10.95million.

26.8m Southern Cross, built by CIM in 1991 and listed by Bernard Gallay Yacht Brokerage, was reduced by €100,000 and is now asking €1.7million.
Burgess announced two price reductions, both to Oceanco builds. 52.8m Sunrise, built in 2000, was reduced by $2.8million to a new price of $21.95million. 51.4m 2007-build Lazy Z, a joint listing with Merle Wood & Associates, was reduced by $1million to a new price of $18,999,999.
25.69m Lady Jovanna, built by Azimut in 2007 and listed by Denison Yachts, was reduced by $100,000 to a new price of $3.849million.
Including Satori, Fraser Yachts made four price reductions. 37.18m Zeepard, built by JFA in 2003 and refitted in 2010, was reduced by €250,000 to a new price of €11.75million: the yacht will be available for inspection at the Monaco Yacht Show. 53m Seabowld, built by Oceanfast in 2004, was reduced by $1million to a new price of $11.9million. 30.48m Beyond, built by Inace in 2009, was reduced by $975,000 to $5.525million.
Listed by Northrop & Johnson, 30.5m Ar-de, built by Burger in 1996, was reduced by $250,000 to a new price of $3.25milion.

Ocean Independence announced five price reductions during the week. The first, a 46m new build from Nedship was reduced by €1million to €16.9million. 44.2m More, built by Benetti in 2002, was reduced by €700,000 to €12.9million. 42.5m Lady Feryal, built in 2003 by Cantieri di Fiumicino, has a new asking price of $8.995million after a $505,000 reduction. 38.5m Onyx, built by Sanlorenzo in 2009, was reduced by €2million to a new price of €11.5million. 26m Sofia of Tortola, built by Benetti in 2008, was reduced by €350,000 to €3.35million.
30m Matanthar, built by Heesen Yachts in 2000 and listed by OceanStyle, was reduced by €495,000 to €3.75million.
25.6m Carolina Dreamin, built by Sunseeker in 2000 and listed by Tom George Yacht Group, has had a $209,000 reduction to give her a new price of $1.39million.
Last but not least, 27.4m Hope, built by Palmer Johnson in 1992 and listed by Yachtzoo, was reduced by $400,000 to $3,495,000.
