US launch for Benetti's latest Delfino yacht

Two years into the relaunch of Benetti’s Delfino range and the orders are steadily coming in for the Italian yard.

The fourth Delfino yacht, Azul was launched in April and now the fifth, Ocean Drive has been launched in the Hamptons, USA with a VIP premiere. She is hull number three (BD03) out of eight units sold since her debut at 2010 Cannes Boat Show, based on a re imagining of the original 1969 Delfino model.

Ocean Drive, like Azul, is a 28.5m motoryacht. Introduced as ‘not a small yacht but the smallest mega-yacht of the Benetti Class Range’ she has many of the benefits of her larger brethren.

She has spacious areas, owing to her 7.03m beam, which also provides comfort below deck, where there are two large VIP cabins and two guest cabins for her American owners.

She also has stability from the hull and her stabilising system - which runs with electrical actuators –minimises disturbance of passengers at sea and at anchor.



Ocean Drive features significant noise and vibrations reduction. Technology on board is completed by Full BEST system (Benetti Exclusive Sea Technology) which provides integration of 'infotainment' and air-conditioning, lighting, curtains and maps.

Her exterior lines, designed by Stefano Righini are a blend of the stylistic with
the timelessness of Benetti. Large and continuous glass surfaces allow ‘breathtaking’ views of the sea from any angle. Wide, vertical windows including in the wheel-house allow 180° degree views.

Interiors have been designed with a 'perfect' balance of white, warm and natural oak wood combined with light grey frames and white leather. 'Striato elegante' marble, chrome steel details and sting-ray leather complete the design creating an expanded, spatial feeling, which is bright and relaxing. A multi/white LED system contributes to 12 different atmospheres according to requirements of the moment including dining, entertaining or relaxing.

Ocean Drive accommodates 10 guests with a variety of outdoor spaces including the sunbathing area in front of the deckhouse, the large fly-bridge and a shaded area on the sun deck.
