In October 2010 our sister website SuperyachtDesign.com reported on the 141m Dream Symphony concept by Ken Freivokh Design, which began construction at the beginning of March last year. We have now been exclusively informed that the project is progressing well and is on track for delivery in 2016.

“The technical team is making good progress with RINA to clear all the necessary approvals,” reveals designer Ken Freivokh, “so at the moment the project is on course.”

When complete, the schooner project—which is under construction at the Dream Ship Victory shipyard in Turkey—will be the largest sailing yacht in the world. With naval architecture by Dykstra & Partners, Dream Symphony is being constructed from carefully selected tropical woods from renewable resources, using unique building methods suited to the construction material.
