Heesen Yachts delivers 47m 'My Secret' and 35m 'Galactica Plus'

Today was a busy day for Dutch shipyard Heesen Yachts as the shipyard announced two superyacht deliveries. The all-aluminium 35m motoryacht Galactica Plus has been delivered to her owner, as has the 12m larger My Secret, a 47m motoryacht.

Galactica Plus, also known as hull YN16134, has had both her elegant exterior and minimalistic interior designed by Omega Architects, whilst Heesen boasted the naval engineering of the motoryacht, which can reach speeds of 27 knots with her two MTU 16V 2000 M94 engines. The motoryacht was launched in April, however after the launch the owner asked for a major modification, Heesen Yachts told Superyachtnews.com, which involved the removal of the Jacuzzi from the sundeck.

Launched in June, My Secret, otherwise known as hull YN16347, with her steel hull, was another product of Heesen Yachts’ naval architects, whilst her exterior was also commissioned by Omega Architects, and Bannenberg & Rowell brought in for her interiors. With her two MTU 8V 4000 M63 engines My Secret can reach a maximum speed of 15 knots.



Last year Heesen Yachts delivered six superyachts, and having just overtaken the halfway mark of 2012 the shipyard has already almost overtaken last year’s figure. The Netherlands-based shipyard has so far delivered five vessels this year, whilst 10 yachts remain on the shipyard’s order book whose deliveries will run until and through 2015.
