Enrico Gobbi reveals a possible third Prince Shark

At the beginning of the week, we reported on the signing of a new project at Rossinavi for a second 49m Prince Shark, hull number FR028. We have since received exclusive news from design studio Team for Design, Enrico Gobbi regarding the project and a possible third unit.
“Today the second unit of the 49m Prince Shark is under construction, and we are already speaking about a probable third unit,” reveals Gobbi. “Prince Shark is a project that has been a real success for both our clients and Rossinavi shipyard’s clients. This design is very much appreciated because of its neat styling lines and shapes, and because it is characterised by a sporty/aggressive style yet at the same time by an outstanding elegance.” Another reason for the success of the design could be down to the interior volume achieved in relation to the size of the superstructure.
However, to ensure each yacht delivered by the shipyard is exclusive and tailored to suite its owner, changes to both the exterior and interior have been made on FR028. “With the second unit of Prince Shark, we have introduced a wide glass window forward of the main deck, where the owner’s suite occupies the full beam of the bow,” Gobbi tells us. “This opening will very much characterise the new unit from its exterior profile, and it will provide exclusive panoramic views on both sides of the owner’s bed.”
With the FR027 still under construction and the second superyacht only just starting construction, it is too early to say what, if any lessons can be learnt from the new line of yachts but Gobbi is confident in the studio's work. “We are definitively sure of the proportions of the yacht and the exterior volume is now defined and we are proud of it from all points of view.”
Among the changes requested by the owner of FR028 is for the inclusion of a 3.5-metre pool on the fly deck that will boast a waterfall that starts from the hardtop above.
