Return to refit for McMullen & Wing

Kiwi yard McMullen & Wing is making a return to refit work, with their first project being a four-month refit of their own build, 45m Big Fish. The move back into refit is a logical step for the yard, which already has a proven track record in the refit market having undertaken projects including a refit on the classic 51m Shenandoah. The refit division will complement the yard's successful new build division.
McMullen & Wing will be working with Diverse Projects Ltd on a four-month refit and maintenance period. By the time she arrives in Auckland, Big Fish will have completed more than 60,000 nautical miles of charter and world cruising, including visits to the most remote and exotic destinations on Earth.
Whilst in Auckland, Big Fish will receive a fresh coat of paint as well as a full service of her electrical and mechanical systems under the careful eye of the same craftsmen responsible for her original creation. Also receiving a new coat of paint and thorough mechanical service will be Big Fish's all-purpose, custom aluminium tender, Triple Ripple.
As well as new build inquiries, McMullen & Wing is now taking inquiries for superyacht refits for the 2013 and 2014 seasons.
