Rossinavi signs second Prince Shark

With the delivery of the 49m motoryacht Prince Shark - hull number FR027, by Team for Design, Enrico Gobbi for Rossinavi - expected in spring 2013, the shipyard has now announced it has signed a second Prince Shark style fast aluminium vessel, with hull number FR028.

With construction due to commence in a matter of days, her Russian owner is expected to take delivery of the vessel in May 2014. “This is another important result for the shipyard that, after the success of Numptia (now known as High Power III), the recent delivery of Aslec 4, and the soon to be delivered 2 Ladies,” reveals Claudia Rossi at the shipyard. “Adding this new yacht to the fleet confirms our strong presence in the international luxury custom yacht market.”

The new build will largely be the same as the FR027 with a couple of exceptions, as the FR028 will have modified window and porthole dimensions, the inclusion of a balcony in the gym and a sauna towards the aft section of the beach area. The interior décor will also be completely different and tailored to the owner’s contemporary style.

“My aim was to design a megayacht that combines elegance with an aggressive appearance through the use of neat styling lines and proportions, and the incorporation of sporty and dynamic detailing,” explained Gobbi at the start of the construction of hull number FR027. “All the design features of this project have been carefully studied to achieve optimal proportions for the interior volume. From the meticulous study of lines and shapes, proportions and ergonomics, we have created a megayacht with three decks plus a flydeck that maintains a sleekness unusual in yachts of similar volume.”
