Canados launches 36m superyacht 'Far Away'

By

Last week, on 6 July 2012, Italian shipyard Canados launched its 36m planing superyacht Far Away. The launch ceremony for the flagship of the flybridge range saw more than 60 guests attend, and took place at the shipyard’s Italy-based facility, taking part in which was a Russian Orthodox priest at the Russian owners’ request.

“It is a very important launch for us,” said Agostino Ascani, president of Canados. “The new yacht confirms one of the mainstays of Canados tradition: building exclusive tailor-made yachts. Combining high construction standards, skilled work, care over design, innovation, attention for owner demands, and performance, Canados sets a benchmark in the luxury motoryacht market.

“The new yacht also confirms the increasing interest of emerging markets for our yachts,” added Ascani.

Far Away’s hull features large windows allowing for very good light and views, as well as featuring four fold-down terraces on the main deck that have been equipped with a hydraulic system. The stern offers a full teak beach-club complete with shower, whilst the garage houses a 4.3m tender, whilst two seabobs and a jetski can be stored under the stern platform.

She also features an exterior living area forward on the main deck, designed specifically to provide more room whilst increasing outside privacy. Her flybridge features a living, dining and sunbathing area.

Her main deck features a living, dining and entertainment area, whilst the lower deck is dedicated to the owner and guest accommodation, comprised of two master suits and a twin guest cabin, each with en suite.

The Francesco Paszkowski interior layout and décor, as requested by the owner, features oak, ebony, stone and glass, with grey as the dominant colour, using varying shades to evoke the tone of titanium, another material used on board.

Paszkowski commented: “The result achieved in this yacht is due to the perfect agreement and the close cooperation between our studio, the owner, who chose us for his yacht interior, and the boatyard. The owner’s demands could be met, the shipyard accepted our proposals and always committed hard to look for the solutions required.”

Her Russian owner will shortly sail the 36m Far Away through the Mediterranean, whilst in just a few weeks a 26m motoryacht, the Canados 86, will be launched from the shipyard’s Italian facility.

Specifications of Far Away:
LOA: 36.2m

Draught: 2.25m
