Second launch in two weeks for Benetti Yachts

Following Benetti Yachts’ launch of the first superyacht from its Classic Supreme class earlier this month, the Italian shipyard has launched another superyacht from its Class range. On the afternoon of 16 May 2012, Benetti Yachts’ 36.9m Classic 121’ motoryacht was lowered into the water at the Viareggio shipyard – where she was constructed – as the owner and his family look on. Also witnessing the launch of the 36.9m motoryacht were the technical personnel, workers, and all Benetti staff who oversaw the yacht’s outfitting and construction.

According to Benetti Yachts, “The Classic 121’ is the iconic symbol of the Benetti brand for semi-custom models – the first Benetti Classic ever made ten years ago when production of the range got underway.”



Designed with features for long-range journeys, the yacht is home to large spaces in her interior and exterior. Her outfitting includes modern navigation systems developed by the shipyard, with an integrated wheelhouse featuring a Benetti Exclusive Sea Technology (BEST) platform which integrates all electronic systems.

The launch of the motoryacht is to be followed by a long series of tests and inspections covering the hull, engines, and on board systems. The completion of her outfitting is also due to complete following the launch, as part of the established production plan.
