'Seven Sins' joins busy ICON Yachts for 6-week refit

Dutch shipyard ICON Yachts is facing a busy couple of months, as yesterday it welcomed the 41.3m superyacht Seven Sins to its Harlingen facility, which now, with the refits of Rahil and Eos, has a total of 182m of superyachts undergoing refit work.
Seven Sins, built by Heesen Yachts in 2005, made the trip from Antigua to The Netherlands, where, at ICON Yachts’ shipyard, she will undergo a 6-week refit. The work will involve a full re-spray of her steel hull, as well as a new MOB crane, full maintenance of her bathing platform and generators, and other small repairs.
The refit work will be undertaken by a highly trained team of specialists lead by Project Manager Jacob de Boer.
The shipyard is also due to finish the refit of Bloemsma Van Breemen’s 48.15m motoryacht Rahil, whose refit work features a generator upgrade, audio and television upgrade, interior and exterior lighting upgrade, exterior dining table replacement, interior adjustments and upgrades, as well as partial teak deck replacement, prop shafts upgrade, small repairs and her annual survey.
The largest superyacht in the Harlingen facility is Lürssen’s 93m sailing yacht Eos. Royal Huisman is undertaking the job of the superyacht’s complete refit, and is leasing, and has recently extended its lease of, ICON Yachts’ dry dock space.
