Week in Superyacht Brokerage: Sales reach cumulative length of 123m

The week dating 17-23 April 2012 saw high levels of brokerage activity, with four superyacht sales, eight new central agencies and seven price reductions.Superyacht Sales
This week saw a promising four superyacht sales, all of which were motoryachts. The largest superyacht sold was the 37.8m 2008 Broward motoroyacht Aquasition, who also had the largest asking price at $8.995 million. RJC Yacht Sales acted as central agent for the sale, while Galati Yachts brought the buyer.

Another large sale this week was International Yacht Collection’s sale of the 30.5m Sunday Money. The 2001 Hatteras was asking $4.3 million at the time of sale.

Also sold this week was JK, the 27m 2003 Pershing, sold by Merle Wood & Associates with an asking price of $2.39 million. Ocean Independence also sold a 27m 2003 Pershing. Aspiracion was asking €995,000 at the time of sale.
New Central Agencies
Eight new central agencies were announced this week. Burgess announced two joint listings. The first, and the largest superyacht involved in brokerage this week, the 45.7m motoryacht Blue Ice. The 2009 Palmer Johnson is a joint listing with Fraser Yachts and is asking $24.9 million. The second, the 34.6m motoryaacht Stilvi III. The 2004 Benetti is a joint listing with OceanStyle and is asking €6.5 million.


As well as Blue Ice, Fraser Yachts also added the 31.9m motoryacht Flipper to its sales fleet. The 2001 Crescent, refit in 2007, is bank-owned and asking $3.5 million.

The 45m 2011 Bilgin Yacht motoryacht Tatiana, previously listed with YPI, is now for sale with Bilgin Yacht asking €14.5 million, while YPI has been appointed central agent for the 25m 2007 Mangusta motoryacht Kgrace, asking €2.1 million.
Elsewhere, A1 Yacht Trade Consortium will now handle the sale of the 32.5m motoryacht Olympias, a 1971 Feadship most recently refit in 2000 and asking $1.92 million. Meanwhile, Thierry Voisin has added the 25.8m motoryacht Tilusa to its sales fleet. The 2008 Ferretti is asking €3.2 million.
Equinoxe Yachts also announced this week that it had been appointed central agent for the 24m sailing Tango. The only sailing yacht involved in this area of brokerage this week, the 2006 Wally had a €900,000 reduction as part of its new listing and is asking €3 million.
Price Reductions
Seven price reductions were announced this week, though the largest superyacht did not see the largest reduction, as Denison & Daves announced a $1 million reduction on the 42.7m 2009 Trinity motoryacht Big City, now asking $16.9 million, while Fraser Yachts announced the largest reduction of the week, the €2.1 million reduction on the slightly smaller motoryacht, the 42.5m Cameleon B. The 2002 Proteskan was refit in 2010 and is now asking €8.9 million.


Also reduced this week was the 37m Victoria Del Mar. Worth Avenue Yachts announced the price of the 2001 Moonen, refit in 2008, had been lowered by €400,000 to €6.495 million.
Elsewhere, Oceanstyle reduced the 29m motoryacht One O One, a 2003 Ferretti, by €500,000 to €2.45 million, while Allied Marine reduced the 25 m motoryacht Pastabilities, a 2004 Sunseeker, to $2.65 million.
Two sailing yachts were reduced this week. One was Equinoxe Yachts’ €900,000 reduction of Tango as part of the brokerage house’s new listing, and the other was K&K Superyachts’ €550,000 reduction of the 2009 Wally Bagheera, now asking €4.95 million.
