New programme features for GSF
Within the past five years, the Global Superyacht Forum’s programme has evolved to include breakout rooms, workshops and focus groups. These sessions host intimate discussions on a variety of topics and provide delegates the opportunity to share their views, debate with panelists and take part in interactive group activities.
To ensure maximum interaction between all those attending the conference, this year’s programme will see innovative new features added to the workshop formats.
The theme of being unstructured is prevalent throughout many of the sessions. Although traditional panel presentations will remain in the style of focus groups, many workshops have formats wholly based on audience participation.
Following on from the hugely successful ‘Unconference’ at SuperyachtDESIGN Week earlier this year, the Global Superyacht Forum (GSF) will see the Unconference return, where the audience are given an overarching theme of conversation, but no set agenda. These loosely structured sessions often lead to unexpected and innovative thinking, as those taking part in the discussion are not limited by scope or areas of expertise.
Attendees can take part in the ‘Fishbowl Conversations’, that will take place across the three days; in these sessions there is an active inner circle of speakers that can consistently change with watching audience members for speaking rights.

A problem-solving workshop called the ‘Knowledge Swap’ will be introduced this year; the workshop audience will be divided into smaller ‘pods’ to discuss the industry topic, after a certain amount of time, each pod moves on but leaves one member behind to share their findings with the next group.
In addition to these changes to workshops, as many delegates find the networking and social breaks the most valuable part of attending, the event will see almost double the amount of FACE2FACE time. In addition to over 30 workshops, a compelling keynote session will take place each day of the event; inviting business-leaders, innovators and influential figures to take to the stage to inspire the audience.
Amels, Awlgrip, Caterpillar, Clyde & Co, Marlink, MARSS, MTN (an EMC Company), MTU Friedrichshafen, Palladium Technologies, Triton Submarines, Van Berge Henegouwen (VBH) and Yachtsure24 are official event partners of the Global Superyacht Forum.
