10 reasons to attend the Global Superyacht Forum: No. 3

The Global Superyacht Forum is just three days away! The countdown continues with reason number three to attend next week:

3. Engage with over 300 senior decision-makers that advise owners globally.

The Global Superyacht Forum (GSF) is a must-attend event for industry professionals who wish to connect with owners and their advisers.  Over 300 Project Managers, Captains and Owner Representatives are all attending this year’s Global Superyacht Forum to network with suppliers and engage with GSF delegates.

At this year’s forum delegates have the opportunity to candidly discuss problems, ask questions and work together with captains in the ‘Ask the Expert: Captains’ focus group. The Wednesday afternoon session is a closed-door, UN style debate with Fleet Captain Glen Allen (Fleet Miami) and Andrew Schofield (Master MV, White Rose of Drachs). Monday 17 November’s ‘Owners’ workshop, led by the Superyacht Group’s Martin H. Redmayne looks to engage with owners, asking, “Can we present a clearer picture of the realities of ownership?”

‘Are managers managing – what needs to change to change in order to create a better balance on board and ashore?’ is the question posed to attendees of the Management workshop, led by Geoff Moore Managing Director of West Nautical.  ‘Commissions and Fees’ tackles the awkward question of “How much is too much – are we adding value?” with chair Laurent Perignon of Camper & Nicholsons. These smaller, intimate sessions open the floor to all delegates to connect with key industry players and establish relationships with future business associates.

The social events throughout the Global Superyacht Forum also encourage connecting with top industry individuals and companies. The 20th Anniversary Dinner on Tuesday 18 November sees 500 superyacht professionals join together for an evening of networking, entertainment and delicious food! This relaxed environment is a proven success in meeting the right clients and establishing fruitful relationships.

Finally, the last evening of the Global Superyacht Forum sees the closing drinks held in collaboration with the METS SuperYacht Pavilion, enabling the delegates of both conferences to discuss the industry and toast to a productive 2015!

Missed reasons four - ten?
4: Meet the industry’s top Shipyards, Yacht Managers and Designers
5. Be part of 19 workshops and focus groups that will solve key issues and propose real change.
