ISF welcomes three new speakers to panel debate

By

Three of the Italian superyacht industry’s most prominent figures have been confirmed to speak at the Italian Superaycht Forum (ISF) at Viareggio, Italy on Thursday 26 April.

The names confirmed are: Simone Marconcini CEO of Benetti Sail Division, Vincenzo Poerio managing director at Benetti and Lamberto Tacoli, who holds the dual roles of director of sales and marketing at Ferretti Group and Chairman of CRN.*

The trio will embark on a powerful panel debate, which follows the event's State of the Italian Industry address. Marconcini, Poerio and Tacoli, who will be joined by a fourth, yet-to-be revealed name, will debate on where the Italian industry is heading and what needs to be implemented and worked on in order to ensure its stability in the future.

Marconcini was appinted CEO of Benetti Sail Division in 2009, before which he was composite director at Azimut Benetti. Before joining Benetti, he held the roles of managing director at Nautor’s Swan in Finland and chief operating and financial officer at Gruppo COS in Rome.

Poerio has a consolidated professional experience within the naval and nautical spheres and has played a significant role with some of the most important organisations within these sectors. Starting his career as researcher at the CETENA Research Institute of Genoa, with subsequent positions at Fincantieri and the INMA’s Technical Office of La Spezia, a company operating in the naval constructions and in the naval repairs sector, he joined Benetti in 1994. Since that time, and under his guidance as managing director, the company has become a globally recognised and esteemed brand.

Tacoli began his career specialising in company management and PR. But in 1996, Tacoli began his entrepreneurial life, purchasing a minority share in Custom Line S.p.A., a company which became part of the Ferretti Group that same year. He then sold his shares to the Ferretti Group, whilst still maintaining the management of Custom Line. In 2001, Custom Line S.p.A. merged with CRN S.p.A., another Ferretti Group brand. Tacoli initially held the position of sales director, becoming CEO just a few months later. Besides being vice president of sales and marketing, in May 2006 he was appointed chairman of CRN S.p.A., a position he still holds today. In July 2009, Tacoli became a member of the Ferretti Group Board of Directors, and was appointed Ferretti Group chief sales and marketing director in September 2009.
