Airodock designs custom Transom Marina for explorer yacht

Airodock, the designer of custom docking solutions, has produced the Transom Marina for Trinity's explorer yacht 'Ulysses'. The 'marina' is deployed aft and provides 41sqm of additional mooring space.…

Lancer Industries’ Airodock mobile docking system, first launched in 2009, has been unveiled in its latest custom guise, the Airodock Transom Marina. The marina was designed for the toy and tender-heavy 58.5m explorer yacht, Ulysses.

The marina is 41sqm and comprises three independently deployed docks. This provides Ulysses with 35m extra of mooring space and vastly enlarged bathing platform. Lancer claims the deployment of the marina has been clocked at less than 30 minutes. Crewmembers only required basic knowledge of inflatable boats to position the marina.

A representative for Ulysses said, “we are so pleased with the trial of the Airodock Beach, we worked with Lancer to customise the concept to fit our needs. What we have achieved is an ideal water access, perfect for mooring jet skis, tenders and other water toys.”

Airodock’s custom docking solutions utilise commercial-grade Hypalon, which can support 200kg/sqm.
