UK, Sussex. Oceanair’s Skysol Motion has won its category at the METS 2013 DAME awards. The pleated blind combines the feel of a pleated blind while maintaining the practicality and convenience of a roller blind.

On winning the award, Oceanair managing director, Andy Fitzgerald said, “we are thrilled to accept this award. The SKYSOL Motion has been designed with a self-retracting recoil system, developed in-house by Oceanair, and is a key feature of the blind, which has not previously been available in the marine market. A tension system prevents movement and rattling and enables the blind to be fixed to angled and inclined windows.

Its streamline and compact design lowers the need for maintenance, and comes in a choice of hardware colours, ranging from Navy to Pewter and many more, and with fixed twin handles to allow for easy use and blind stowage. Moisture resistant pleated and Duette fabrics are also available, as these minimise UV rays from penetrating into the vessel and therefore aid in the regulation of onboard temperatures.
